Today in Light Australis Photo

The story behind the image

Wilsons Promontory, containing the southern most point on the Australian mainland, is named after a friend of Matthew Flinders, the explorer. Little is known of Wilson except he was a merchant trader between England and Australia. The "Prom" has been a National Park in one form or another since 1898. This is my first visit to the area.
